Each month is illustrated with an African animal family accompanied by an animal-family-specific byline.

Some of the original artworks are by Sheila Petousis, (re-worked by Fiona); the lions, leopards, aardvark, rhino, blue cranes, monkeys, dung beetles, honey badger and cuckoo are by Fiona, who is still learning how to make digital illustrations.
